Re: The random thought thread
Ever had problems with truck eating bridges? There's two out here, and here's the lesser of them:

I got to see a tall cube van get its top ripped off there. What a mess.
The major one is two blocks over, and it is right at the very bottom of the river bluff, so due to the angle of the street it will wreck trucks even if they are shorter than the listed height on the bridge if the truck is long enough. There's automated height warning lights on the way down the bluff to that bridge now though, so it hasn't eaten any trucks lately.

Re: The random thought thread
It is the same type of bridge, and that is exactly what happened at both of the truck eating bridges here, so it is close. The grade of the street past the bridge here is somewhat more severe there though, so I don't think so. This might be a really stupid reference, and if so I apologize, but if you remember the car chases on the show "The Streets of San Fransisco", the grade of the street is more like that. Or maybe its more like the Queen Anne hill in Seattle. (No cross streets like there were there here, though.)Comment

Re: The random thought thread
Not so fun when your stuck behind that in traffic. There is a bridge in Kempton Park where that happens one a week or probably more.
Mmm problem with a bridge and dip in the road is that the front part looks like it clears with feet!
Its a truck trap.
The bridge it a super solid steel bridge.
Stoned or stupid??WhateverComment
