Ricoh 2090 ADF false jam?

hello copytechs!

im having trouble finding the cause or source of this problem. A Ricoh 2090 is giving me a false jam message AFTER it successfully feeds 1-10 pages thru the ADF. The error reads as " clear jam in P1 section" which is the adf entrance.

and tips or parts that may need replaced would be greatly appreciated

as it turns out there are several sensors in the adf area.

i went thru and cleaned all 7-9 sensors that i could find.

while doing so the machine popped a sc-705 code which after searching the web pointed me in the direction of the adf lift tray.

once i thourougly cleaned the adf lift tray sensor the problem seemed to resolve itself!

ill probably replace the sensor on the next service cal just to play it safe...
