Finally, a book about what we do all day!
I've been a technician for apx 30 years now by way of the Kodak, Danka, Heidelberg then Kodak again treadmill. Many a night I've gone home thinking I could write a book with all the wierd customers, team mates and situations I've been through, I'm sure most of us can. Well I've finally wrote it, a comedy/drama that covers sales, management, dispatch ( remember those ), customers, techs, the works and makes fun of them all. It starts with a smalltown manager moving to New York and taking over a misfit crew of technicians, a little like "animal house."
It does our profession honor as you get into the story, eventually a small core of good techs combine with the new manager to whip the team into shape, all while keeping number of very funny story lines.
The name of the book is, "At Your Service Copiers," and is presently available as an EBook through Amazon.com. It can be downloaded and read on any PC, Mac, Ipad, Smartphone or Kindle using a free downloadable app. The cover alone is worth checking out, That's me with the dirty toner stained face and white shirt holding the sledge hammer and one of my machines with the display reading, "Help Me!"
