had a canon ir4570 randomly powering off @ on,ended up being the main controller,canon had bulletin on this very subject saying to replace the memory stick or sticks with the main controller that if you dont replace the memory as well you could damage the new controller. I TOOK A CHANCE AND ONLY REPLACED THE CONTROLLER. It fixed the problem,thank goodness,saved a bundle on those memory sticks.
