    Database Error [Australia]

Same repeat database error here in Australia.

If I don't login I can read all forums as normal.
If I login I get the below database error.

I can login and post a new message, but I cannot reply to existing threads.

I went into Mozilla Firefox and cleared out the cookies related to Copytechnet (A total of 7 cookies).

      It made absolutely no difference.

I even tried blocking copytechnet as an exception in Mozilla Firefox. Upon logging on, all of the html formatting was goofed up. Pull down menus randomly appearing, frames and text appearing over the top of other frames and text. No go.

I think the site may have been hacked. I've been having the same issue here. Need to log out to read the threads and login to reply, open new tab and it is submitted. This is very annoying....

Yes the same on going database problem...

I had a play around with the CTN html pages coming into my browser this morning.
I see some of the CTN pages are using Yahoo Developer Network along with https://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js java scripting.
Some of the open source yahoo.com scripts are borderline intrusive with their function keystroke monitoring.

Is there a conflict with google.analytics.com and yahoo.com java scripts?
Why the script return(GET) function would affect the vBulletin server-side PHP code is interesting thought.

I wonder now if "Aneurysm's" account has been hacked into.

Oddly though, seems one can log out whereas I found before the database problems I could not, it would move to a non-existing page and you were never actually logged out.

Or is it possible fixing one thing caused another to be goofed up?

Editing takes a little creativity too.

I wonder if it would have helped for the board to be https: secure making logins and passwords a little less vulnerable?

I just looked at our illustrious leaders profile (absolutely no-teasing intended) and he "Aneurysm" hasn't been active in 6 days. Has it been 6 days since the database error first occurred?

Either he is taking a well needed hiatus or cannot access his account.....?

Concerning Yahoo.... Yahoo isn't Yahoo anymore. It's now OATH (A Verizon Company) which is the entity under which Yahoo, AOL, and Huff Post falls. A Terms of Service was circulated by OATH a few months ago. If you did not agree to their terms, your email and other services could be jeopardized. OATH is allowed to "scan" all of your emails in order that they may send you marketing information. This would also include your TAX information which is sent between you and your accountant.

You are also not allowed to form a class action suit. All grievances are to be settled by an Arbitrator. Oath Terms of Service | Oath Policies

This was the reason we decided to leave ATT Internet and go with a smaller company (Sonic.net) who actually does care about one's internet privacy. ATT doesn't have it's own email servers, it' contracted to Yahoo.

I believe Google is involved with the ranking data. I found this information in a whois of copytechnet.com

Or maybe I'm just being a busy body....

Yes some advert servers are getting a little to proud with their lord-over-legal B/S. Pride comes before a fall.

Verzion is blipping on my radar of "offline" certificate server hacks.

                    Speculation:
I wonder if the latest CTN hacks are coming from each individual CTN account holder, via a hacked java script being send back to the PHP server?
If the advert servers over lay the CTN html page with adverts and scripts what is to stop them from injecting SQL code into the GET script.
CTN java script button clicks have been failing for a long while. I'd wager that the latest Database error is SQL or similar injection at the HTML/Java script side of the server.

I see that when I have full lock down on my browser the web pages behave/read with correct formatting.
But when I use a free browser session the HTML page is trashed with unreadable/unclickable text formatting.
The above confirms the advert hacking is apparent on my end of the CTN server at least.
