    Gradient Style Font?

Looking for help, if you enable the Gradient style, what do your fonts look like? Sample A or Sample B

Gradient Style is better imho but default font isn't looking good. (default)

Firefox - for whatever reasons - uses "Times New Roman" as Default Font - this leads to sample "A".
I changed it to Arial (Firefox Settings -> General -> Font) and now it looks like sample "B" wich is pretty nice.

Not shure why the style can't communicate the font to the browser though....

For us "older" techs, B is easer to read, especially after a pint or two.

After unchecking "Allow pages to choose" as Lawrence suggested I get A if I set the font in FIrefox as their Default, Times New Roman, and B with Ariel. I do like the overall page appearance using the Gradient setting.

Now is there a chance of changing the default font for the posting screen to Ariel. As Larhal said it is easier on the eyes for use old farts. Size is no concern as I have added "Zoom" to my Menu Bar.

I think I have found one problem with Gradient. It appears to mark all Forums as read or at least there is not enough contrast for my 76 year old eyes to see the difference. I'll wait a day or two to see if new posts will change that.

I have noted one problem with that setting. If you change the font when typing a post you see the selected font while typing but as soon as you Post, Firefox changes it to their default.

That Gradient option is fantastic. Using it now. You should just set that as default! Thank you!

It's my first choice as well but it looks like crap for many of our users, me being one of them. I can't get it to look right anywhere except on my phone.

                        Yes,
                        Gradient looks like sample A
                        Default looks like sample B

Given the choices I'm sicking with Default/Sample B. Much more legible for these old eyes. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

It look fine on my Firefox after I made the changes that Gift and Lawrence suggested. I realize that some people don't like the shades of blues but to me they are a lot easier on the eyes than all the white on the others. I also like the Green buttons.

The only thing I do not like is there is no contrast between Forums that have unread posts and those that don't

Oh By the way, where is the Forum Rules link?

Im just at home on Chrome now and all of them look fine for the text. My firefox browser at work i turned back to defaults and used Gradient and its great. The red or default looks like shit. I dunno whats happening there... Ill try edge and Chrome at work tomorrow to see what happens.

Can you share a downloadlink or the fileset for this style? Perhaps a lttle css or html code modification might fix this problem. I'm more into phpBB but I can have a look.

You can also try and disable all ads to make shure they don't mess with the fonts.
