Re: Selling to export dealers
the average markup of a wholesaler/exporter is about 150% and can go as high as 250 depending on make and model etc. the majority of them are resold to indys for resale.Leave a comment:

Re: Selling to export dealers
Sorry we don't intend to export directly so we are only selling to national export traders. These guys come with a truck and I just need to point my finger to the machines they can take away on so not much work ony my end.Leave a comment:

I'd like to know how much you get for your old MFPs.
We usually keep some service contract returns, young and shiny MFP's might find a second life in the field again but most are just good enough for stripping spare or maintanance parts.
After this phase we pass on that stuff to export traders. Due to the stripping process, some machines might not work properly of course (even if we complete them with the defective parts).
I think we're getting ~40-50USD/machine in general for an average lot composed of ~ 50 mixed color and b&w MFPs like KM C250/253 and some not-so-oldish stuff like C280/452. Perhaps ~20-30% ist faulty due to previous stripping.
You think that's ok? What's your experiance with export traders? I'd also interested to know how expensive these machines "re-appear" in the export market destinations.
