Kyocera products scan to email no SSL

KyoceraMita does not use SSL for sending email.

Has anyone used any free email servers to relay mail to yahoo, gmail, hotmail

I have tried several free email servers with no luck.

From what I was told, under the security link at the bottom of the Falcon III's & the Taskalfa's, when you enable security here it is SSL no matter what the protocol you're using. I've got 1 Kyocera and 2 Sharp machines that all are using SSL SMTP connections & I cannot get any of the three to work. Anyone have any ideas ??
One Sharp & the Kyocera are using att.yahoo for SSL SMTP and I can't get it !!!
        Hope that helps !

          argosoft

I have a customer with a KM-C3232E, I was able to get them to scan to email with argosoft but there seems to be a size limitation. Any suggestions on something else to use or how to change the size limitation?

I've used Argosoft in the past and it works great for most scenarios. Recently I discovered a new mail server app that has a free version like Argosoft, but has way more features. I needed something that could import a list of user accounts from a CSV file (something Argosoft can't do) and I found this:

            DeskNow
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

go into the scanner then to send email settings then to basic settings and set the scanner to data size non restricted...

if it doesn't take then use the address editor...

if the settings take but you have the same size issue... then your email account that is connected to the copier has a size restriction setting that your client or their email provider must adjust...

I recently found Gawab.com Web-based Email email POP3 SMTP IMAP SMS. You just register for a free account and use the SMTP settings to setup scan to email. It's 100% free. You can use SSL if you want, it's optional. As long as the account is kept active scan to email will work forever. There's nothing to install or setup on a customer's PC. I've tested Gawab.com Web-based Email email POP3 SMTP IMAP SMS on several of our showroom MFPs and it has worked everytime.

Yo JNeez, I set up an account that seems to work, but I never get the emails. I've tried it going to a couple accounts. Is there anything I'm missing ? I'm using 66.220.20.53 as the mail server. It goes through so I assume authentication is good & we're getting a handshake that the mail is complete. When I check the job log, it shows it went OK. Any Ideas ?
                        Thanks,
                        Hope that helps !

I've had really good luck with GMX.

Free Webmail and E-Mail by GMX | Sign Up Now!

It's webmail, but has an SMTP component as well.

                          So far, so good.

                            tmaged,

I would suggest using psmtp.gawab.com instead of the IP address. I just pinged psmtp.gawab.com and got a different IP than what you've posted.

Also, check the recipients junk mail folder.

I tried the IP address that's associated with that host name. I get the same thing with that one. I've tried it to both my accounts so I know it's not going to a spam folder. I may try the GMX listed above.
Isn't there usually going to be an issue of anonymous relaying throgh the end users ISP with someone elses SMTP server ?
                              Thanks for the help.
BTW I was told that the Falcon III's, Stratos & Taskalfa's all support SSL SMTP connections by my Kyocera Service Rep.
                              Hope that helps !
