Sending email alerts via smtp2go help

    Hi guys,

I have a lot of customers who I am wanting to put on email alerts, but they have no smtp details (or they have an office 365 account and don't want to create a paid for account just for email alerts from the copier)

I have created an account with smtp2go which is free (there are paid for accounts).

My question is how does one go about setting all of this up. I have created a couple of smtp users and used them for authentication.

What else would I need to do as I am getting a pass on test send(sharp mx2640) but no scan to emails are coming through.

Try to scan a document to the address you are sending Status and alerts to.

    What is the result?

A "pass" on test, will only show if copier was able to contact email server. In this case mail.smtp2go.com.

A "pass" on test, does not show if it was sucessful at authentication.

You can also check the smtp2go dashboard to see if there have been any mail transmissions.

Lost communication with the server as I remember.

Basically no scans o alerts go through. I need to using an SMTP server without a mailbox to send alerts.

So I'm trying to fathom it all out
