Apple Mac High Sierra 10.13.1 - B&W standard

    Hello,
We can not seem to find where to adjust the B&W adjustment and how to make this setting standard.
And will Post Script 3 have a better quality print out than the emulation?
Is for a Ricoh imc2000 mfp.
Thank you for helping us out.
    Greetings,
    Mark

CUPS Interface in Safari, type in URL field: "localhost:631" ...minus quotes, then change default settings when you chose that printer...[emoji57]...may have to enable CUPS interface in terminal though, Good Luck!!!

As far as your second question..The quality is the same but the fonts is where the PS3 chip comes into play. If your customer is a heavy graphic user and not just a MAC user because its some type of status symbol you will need the Adobe PS3 option.

Apple MAC OS will by default install Generic PS or Generic PCL driver.

Ricoh IM C2000 contains emulation of PostScripts. Differents are mainly in the amount of containg fonts. PS is mainly used for graphical purposes as the PCL cannot work with RGB profiles (unlike PS can) and also Geniune Adobe PS contains the Offset simulations = you can try to print with the color density as offset printer.

Preferences are all managed by CUPS, you mast set them from web browser (safari/chrome). just type http://localhost:631 By default, this interface is disabled, so you must first open terminal and enter the command "cupsctl WebInterface=yes" https://help.hikeup.com/portal/en/kb...erface-for-mac

This web is a good example Change the default print settings on a Mac - Community Contributions - Hermes
