Have a client that has just replaced there print server and is running win 2003. There last server was running this 2003 as well. They want to use a pcl driver and turn on Job accounting and share the printer out. This ideally will pop up a window and ask for ID & password for that machine.
The problem is that if you do this from the server end and print something the box pops up, u stick in the ID and it prints no problem. If u share the printer out and try this from a workstation the box pops up but every time you put the code in it doesn't seem to register and doesn't print.... as if the server is not communicating with the copier correctly.
We turned the firewall off and reinstalled dias but to unfortunately still in the same boat. any 1 come across this and fixed it? Any help would be greatful
