    Re-Rite and Konica Minolta Copiers

Toshiba has a great little program called Re-Rite I am wondering is it compatible with Konica Minolta MFP's? Is there a list that I am not finding?

What does Re-Rite do. I might be able to tell you if KM has a similar program.

Don't know about Toshy program compatability with KM.

Thanks for the look at this. I actually have found a Toshiba item that seems to be more of a fit for the client. The DocuGo system seems like it's a lot more to what the client is liking.

Re-Rite needs a Toshiba product on the network to complete setup. B&W or color, and at least EBridge 1. Emujo

            Hi ,

Is that a important feature you are looking for ? There are a few ways to work around it. We actually have design a program that function like toshiba re-rite for Konica Minolta using the Konica Minolta Open api but we thinking of abandoning it.

Konica Minolta have a solution for Re-Rite called Unity Desktop Professional. Basially it is just Omnipage Professional.

I do prefer Re-Rite as there are many different ways that you can make it work. As mentioned previously though, you do need to have a Toshiba on the network for version 6 and above for Re-Rite to function correctly and is also part of the licence agreement.

Versions 5.01 and 5.2 do not need to have a Toshiba on the network, nor do they have anything in the licence agreement that you have to use Re-Rite with Toshiba e-Bridge products.

If anyone is looking for a real nice and easy guide for installing and setting up Re-Rite v6, then let me know as I typed up and screen shot the whole process from start to finish.

                Hi,

could you have the installation and setup for re-rite.Thanks.

Yes Konica Minolta used the unity desktop, but it is to tedious for user to setup. As all destination have to be prefine so that user can choose from the copier.

I never managed to set this up. The only thing the customer wants to have a folder on his computer receiving scans from the MFP with automatic OCR conversion so to produce readable PDF's.

I have the latest version and its doing several steps alright until the last (I think). Than the whole bunch hangs endlessly.

There is great demand for a piece of software automatically creating searchable PDF's out of MFP scans.

Omnipage Professional is WAAAAY to bloated for this purpose and support sucks.

                    hi
if your customer just required the ocr software to poll a folder and convert the scan image to text searchable pdf, other then Omnipage you can try abby finereader. Both basically can do the same function.

Your Workflow within the Batch Manager isn't set to create a new file for each 'Image File'. Go in to the Workflow and edit the first step I think and you should find this option down in the bottom right hand corner.

At the moment, the Workflow is waiting for more pages and will try to stitch them all together.

Sorry everyone, but the guide I did for Re-Rite it too large to attatch to this forum. For some reason it won't accept my ZIP file of the guide either.

PM me your email address and I will try that way.
