Have what I think is a network problem. Customer has a Canon Ir C3200 - C1 copier on their network to use as a printer. It will print fine and then suddenly will not print and gives a Error on the display. They have PC's and Laptops running XP, Vista 32 and 64 bit, Server 2003, Windows 7 64 bit, wireless and wired connections. When I try and ping the copier you may or may not get a connection. Replaced the switch, reloaded the drivers as stand along printer and did away with the share on the server for the printer. On the wired connections it seems to print OK, on the wireless connections maybe, maybe not. But they are connected to the network OK, can get to the internet OK, and everything, just sometimes will not print The server which is wired gives an error failed to print. But if I plug in the copier driect to my laptop, the connection stays hot and I can ping it for hours and always print to it. It is when it is connected to the network that is when I am having the problem. I know there is something on the network, wireless access point or router is causing the problem. I am going to start with the wireless access point, but just thought I would put this out there for any suggestions.
I am using tcp-ip for printing.
Thanks
