HP CM4540 MFP Communication Lost (device <-> control panel error)

    Hello everyone!

I am new to the forum, but looking forward to interacting with such a talented group of people.

I was wondering if anyone has seen this error message on an HP CM4540 MFP. When I power it up it displays this error message on the Control Panel "Communication Lost (device <-> control panel error)". I have the service manual on this unit, but sheds very light on what may causing this issue. I suspect it is due to a bad/faulty HP secure hard drive, but am unable to test it. Anyone have any idea?

    Thank you to all!

Post that question in the HP forum, please to get an answer.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!".
