VarioPrint 135 Digital lines on print

We have a Canon varioPrint 135 (OCE). We have been getting what looks like digital lines on the prints. The are sharp and crisp. They also vary from page to page and sometimes don't print at all.
Tech has replaced board, updated all software & firmware.
Any help would be greatly appropriated.
