Canon MF6550 contact spring unit question
I was trying to reform upper spring on spring unit which is on right side of cartridge and
the springs in this unit make contact with small metal plates on cartridge. I bent the upper one
out of shape and am waiting for a back ordered spring. The parts list showed separate part
numbers for each spring and for spring unit. I don't think unit comes with springs or I would
save ordered it.
When this spring is not seated properly it doesn't machine message of" toner not set" appears.
Now that I have it making contact I am getting all black copies. don't know if because spring
isa all bent out of shape and causing black copies. I have seen this on Xerox xc drum cartridges
when spring contact was not sitting properly inside drum unit. If you are able to help me please do.
