    Canon iR C5035 - jam code 01 0094

Have a c5035 that gives a jam code of 01 0094 when you press the Start button with paper loaded in the Doc feeder. Says there is paper jammed in the document feeder. There is no paper jam in the feeder.
You have to turn the copier OFF/ON to reset it.

You can copy from the glass just fine.

    Re: Canon iR C5035 - jam code 01 0094

The jam code is caused by one of the 4 circuit board type sensors PCB2, 3, 4 or 5 being blocked at power on. Or it can also be caused by one of 2 photo interrupter type sensors, SR4 or SR5 being blocked at power on. The jam will not appear until a copy is made through the document feeder.

Start by looking for small pieces of paper blocking the sensor PCB's and the two photo interrupter type sensors listed in the previous paragraph.

If the machine is not in a jam condition the PCB sensors cannot be checked.
If the machine is power cycled and there is no jam condition insert a sheet of paper into the DADF and try to make a copy.
When the paper is feed into the DADF the 0094 jam will be displayed. Now go into the Service Mode described below and check the PCB type sensors.
To check the sensors in I/O mode go into service mode > Copier > I/O and the screen will appear. Now select FEEDER1 from the P-SENSOR row.
When this screen appears select the Feeder option. The selected option will flash with a white background.

Note that the I/O address for the PCB sensors are at a 1 state. See pic link above--

In this Feeder option the I/O mode addresses that need to be checked are the 4 circuit board type sensors PCB2, 3, 4 and 5 & the 2 photo interrupter type sensors SR4, SR5.
    PCB2 is at P004 > bit 7
    PCB3 is at P004 > bit 3
    PCB4 is at P004 > bit 2
    PCB5 is at P004 > bit 0
    SR4 is at P004 > bit 6
    SR5 is at P004 > bit 1
To check the sensors block the sensors with a small piece of paper, then check if the display changes in the I/O mode. If the sensor does not change states in the I/O mode try cleaning it first, reseating the connector, cutting wire ties on the wire harness or replacing the sensor.
In the image below (see link pic link below) the machine is not in a jam condition and all of the bits for the PCB type sensors read 0 and will not change states.

I've also had a broken wire under the document tray, had to remove the tray and invert it to remove the bottom as a further suggestion.
