Canon ir 1025, keeps requesting A4 paper

    Canon ir 1025, keeps requesting A4 paper

    Hey folks,
    One of my techs is working on a Cannon IR 1025 that is mainly used as a fax. Outgoing faxing works fine. Copy mode works fine. Tray is set correctly for Letter (8.5x11). All incoming faxes want to print on A4 paper. All jobs stay in memory waiting for A4 paper to be loaded. If you switch the LTR tray to A4, it will try to print (but jams because we don't use A4 paper here only LTR). Can someone help out? I'm thinking this machine's fax settings is on metric and need to be changed to inch.

      check this setting

      Additional Functions>Copy Settings>Paper Size Group> set to "Inches"

          I just checked and this is already set to "inches".

          This only seems to an issue with incoming faxes. Every incoming fax is received as A4.

              Problem resolved. It turns out that at once point, the customer accidently set their tray to A4. The report jammed and they corrected the tray size back to LTR. This report keeps trying to print and it wants it to come out on A4 because that was what it thought it had at the time it went into memory. This report keeps all fax jobs from printing. We had to hit "service monitor" this brings up jobs in memory. Scroll to "activity report". Find the report and hold left & right key to delete the bad report.

                  Go to setting from fax rx setting then set the ratio to auto mode..
