Adobe Indesign color match issues printing to ir advance c5051

Over the last 18 months I have run into issues with customers printing from adobe indesign having color math problems. Blues will come out deep green , lime green has come out pink , Grey's have come out yellow or orange , and usually loading post script drivers has remedied the situation but today my customer had a light blue with a hint of aqua come out like attached image #4. Image #3 is closer to what shows on the monitor it is a copy. I found in the indesign color management tab a place to give the post script printer control of the colors and things improved slightly. In the end we found a workaround where the customer saved the file as a jpeg then converted it to a post script pdf. Image #2 is what that file looked like printed from a mac and the image not numbered is the closest thing we could get to the screen display of both the pc or mac and it was printed using that file with a pc using post script drivers the mac will only produce Image #2. Any help would be appreciated.

trying to match a monitor color and printer color can be messy. Monitors display in RGB while printer print in CMYK. It also has to to do with room lighting .. the human eye and other factors.

Suggest they get the Pantone Color Matching here: PANTONE Colour Chart | www.PANTONE-colours.com

I would also suggest as a technician taking a color technology online course ... will help you explain the issues a little better to your customer.

Being a certified Canon - Xerox - Epson and Oki Tech I have gone through this simple course many times.

Clean all optics. Do CCD ADJ, white levels, etc. Clean the patch reader sensors. MAKE SURE PAPER IS REGISTERED PROPERLY. Now do full gradations. How old are drums? Could be many things...wrong profile, app handling colors or machine? RIP? RIP calibration? If they want Pantone matching...Buy the proper machine(5000 series is business color), get a Colorpass, densitometer...
