Canon mf726 series - non recongized cartirdge error/ cartirdge communication error

Customer just put in a Canon cartridge and says it gives a error that it cannot communicate with the cartridge or non recognized cartridge or something along that line. Will only let them print one page and error shows up again. Is there a way to turn off this message, it is a new Canon cartridge, or what is the fix for the machine?

All-in-one cartridge (drum + toner)

Drum ground contact may be out of position and not contacting the cartridge.

Right now is it showing Magenta, but customer says it does it to all the cartridges.

cannot communicate with the cartridge---is this while printing from network ? ( if so may be a driver issue )

is message while copying ??

Not when scanning. Turn the machine ON and the message shows up and never goes away, even after replacing the cartridge. Can print one sheet at a time. Toner levels are fine.
