IR 7095 and IR Advanced 9085 or 8090

as mentioned in data sheets these machines give print around 70/80 k prints on a single toner Cartridge at 5%

and Drum/Dev unit life is 6,000,000

If thats true then these canon models would be very cost effective, and cost per print would be very less compared to konica or ricoh or sharp or kyocera?



IRC7260 also as per data sheet give much more toner output both color and black

those with experience can shed some light or there are other strings attached like mechanical nightmares and part breakdown/ failers?

There are a lot of factors in print cost coverage----

-Paper also needs to be considered as a cost as well.
-Factor in the average percentage of toner and saturation printed on the paper.

-To calculate cost per black and white page, you take the price of the black cartridge and divide it by the black cartridge’s page yield.
-To print a color page, the printer typically uses all its cartridges, including the black one. So to calculate cost per page for each of the color cartridges, add them all together, then combine that number with the black and white cost per page to get the final cost per color page.

If your black ink cartridge costs $30 and yields 500 printed pages, its cost per page is $0.06.
If each of the three color cartridges costs $40 and yields 400 pages, their cost per page is $0.10 each (120/1200).

The Cost of Developer and Drum units also Counts

so my question is since Canon Does 6,000,000 copies on single Drum and Dev. (you only need to add toner)

so in the Long run is Canon not a better choice/ more cost effective?

You must also take into account ---- service (repair), parts in general ( availability ) other that consumables, technical knowledge of person servicing product, and whether you use Canon (or other Manufactures ) OEM parts or lower quality third party parts.

Calculation cost of a purchase or lease on a Printer can not be made directly on Toner/Drums and or Developer especially on Canon Color products.
