    Canon IR 3235 E000-001

We have a machine throwing this error at boot E000000-0001, i tested with another two different fuser units and both worked OK, prints and works just fine, and as soon as i put back the original fuser it throws the same error again.

Tried this same fuser on anothjer 2 machines and they both got the same error so im pretty sure the problem is within this fuser unit.

So far ive inspected everything and it seems to be just fine, client says it was working fine on the morning and by late afternoon it stopped working, ive found a jammed sheet when i first opened it up and i thought that was the cause but it wasnt.

Film looks fine, it is rotating and the white dot is on the gear side so i can rule that out, connections and cables look also fine, no dents or charred cable. Nothing seems broken, so my guess is the problem lies within the electrical components.

So, before i start juggling parts from one fuser to the other, any advice as to what should i chek first? could the resistors on the aluminum cleaning roller or the ones on the side of the pressure roller cause this error? i can think of that and also the actual heating element being broken.

easy check------------------swap the FIXING FILM (main thermistor) from good fuser into problem fuser. >>> power on> clear error > power off >/on to test

just because it looks good on outside / it's inside what counts------

Ok got it, you guys mean the full heating unit, it looks fine nothing charred or dirty, cleaned the sensors/thermistors inside the heater housing but still E000.

Il take the full heater from the other machine then.

swapped the heating unit from another fuser and it works just fine.

Anyone tried to fix this issue by replacement the part that goes bad? attached is whats inside the heating unit, alli see is a sensor, two thermistors and the actual ceramic lamp.

Asking cause im pretty sure we have some disasembled fusers that went bad for different reasons, need to take a dive at the storage boxes.

why would u use old parts from fix film units to try and troubleshoot----------------- "Time is Money"---
not cost/time effective , because of swapping procedure to test what part is defective.

see chart for your Fix Film part #---------
make sure to replace with correct part for your printers voltage

                  about 125.00 on eBay
