    Canon 7095 versus 8205

    Hello,

I have been using a Canon ImageRunner 7095 for my black printing needs. It works very well, and I have had little trouble out of it. I have a friend who is looking for a machine similar to this but something a little newer. I found a 8205 and I would like to know if this is an equivalent upgrade to our 7095. I have used a 6570 in the past, and the booklet finisher on the 7095 is much nicer. I noticed the booklet finisher on the 8205 looks very similar to the one on our 7095, so I figure it must be similar quality. I am looking for something that is a high end machine, yet in a price range of around $5,000. The new machine also has to have the ability to have a cover inserter to add a color cover to the books. I see that both of these machines have that ability. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

Pretty much same class of machine, the 8205 is a newer model line then the 7095 and does offer a much more robust finisher as well. There have been many improvements over all requiring less down time. I have a few accounts with over 4 mill on them.

Thank you for your input. Is there any other newer Canon machine that is about the same?
