    ir adv C5030

    Hi guys

C5030 prints Black too Dark, the colours are brilliant but when printing images it comes too dark especially photos, and there is some black dust on the face when making copy i keep the background and darkens minimum then it is barely ok

how to increase gama? or set developer and make images bright, or use less toner what ever?

ir adv 5030c is an office machine;the only way to get great images or photos printing is to add the image pass controller A1.

yes tried all that, it sets it back to extreme crips and dark,
Text and tables and other uniform colors come very dark and crisp

only photos and small images come too dark

need to adjust Developer setting to use less Black or Increase Brightness

We have a 5045 machine here and it prints photo's and images just fine... 50xx and 52xx machines do better job at that than 20xx or 22xx machines any day...

I asume you already looked at the drum and drum life ?

                  Sound's like PCL driver.

                  What PG test say?

If the machine have postscript, try with postscript (PS) driver. It has many more color settings.

PLC driver prints fine but UFR sucks, why is that?

plus i will still appreciate if any one know how to increase brightness from Service mode by playing with Developer /toner settings

There is option in service mode (COPIER > DISPLAY > DENS) Not recomended!
Did you try with gradation correction? Please post PG-10 test.

I think a PG Type 4 in Bk or Type 14 would tell a lot more about the gradation being correct or not...
