    Canon irC4080 with imagepass H1

    This is a new setup.

The copies are great, the colors are great. When I print from a computer, everything works well. But when I try and SCAN from the copier is when the problem starts. I am using Color Scangear v2.42. It finds the copier and says it is available for scanning. When I load documents in the feeder and tell it to scan, the document feeder runs all sheets through and the computer times out saying the network has timed out. I do not get any pages. When I try and scan from the platen, you have can scan one page but it goes to 100% processed, but it will not finish. You can cancell and do the next page and so on and so on. Has anyone had this problem before?

Never had this problem with scanning before. RE: ir5000, ir2200, ir4570, irC3200, C3220, ir8070, etc.

If you have Windows firewall on, try to scan with it disabled. I have seen this alot lately, and it has always been the firewall causing the problem

you need to find the scanner when you use scangear its under the disover tab in the scangear tool when it finds the machine ie ip address hit select.

you also need to put the scanner on line this is under the scan tab and says online offline remember to put it back off line or you wont be able to copy.

another way to do all this without using scangear is to download fiery scan and command workstation much quicker and better you can download both from canon website under support

if you need more help post here
