hi...

does the screen flicker then stay off when booting..this is the top sram.
if not it can be main power supply and relay pcb.you have already changed power so check relay pcb check FU10 ON RELAY PCBfuse might be blown

Replaced main controller 1 (transfer parts) & 2 , power supply and hard drive. Still with not boot.

The techs at the shop I work in are all stumped by this, but we offer a suggestion, TIme to get the meter out and make sure that there is no pinched wires and that voltage is making it where it should.

I had this on C3330 series. The HDD was a problem. When i change HDD, power on machine 2+8 keys and reload firmware.

I had a similar problem in adv c5045 and the problem is firmware...try to format hdd and reinstall firmware

can i ask what you have already tried and changed..im getting abit confused.

as i understand you have changed

main 1+2
hdd
power supply

have you checked fuses on your ac driver pcb?
dimms can also cause screen to no come on as no memory to start up boot.

if it was HDD screen would still come on.either a background light or boot bar.

Any update to this, I keep getting bugged by the other guys in the shop as to what fixed this.

Nothing fixed it. Finally after hours and hours and $$$$ gave up. Sold them another machine.

To go to Service Mode Classic Level 1 follow the steps bellow:


1) Select Settings/Registration


2) Press 2 & 8 at the same time


3) Select Settings/Registration


To go to Service Mode Level 2, go to Service Mode level 1 and then:


1) Select Settings/Registration.


2) Select 2.

Go to Service Mode > follow the steps bellow:


1) Select Settings/Registration


2) Press 2 & 8 at the same time


3) Select Settings/Registration


4) Select Mode List


5) Select Copier


6) Select Option


7) Select FNC-SW


8) Highlight [Level 1] to toggle between level 1 and level 2.

this is caused by the all night power supply, weve seen it half a dozen times. No display just energy saver light (green) on

I'm a newbie, but this sounds like what might be the problem with my C5255. What is the "all night power supply"?
