Re: Canon MF 8180C doesn't print color
zoraldinho,
Thanks very much for your quick response.
Result from service test print is always a blank paper.
No one of the 4 columns of the test pattern is printed.
There isn't any color on the drum: no C, no M, no Y and no Black.
I try to explain better the problem:
If I make a copy of a color page by pressing the color button, the result is a blank paper, while if I make a copy of the same color page by pressing the B/W button, the result is a perfect gray-scale copy; the printer has the same behaviour when I launch a color print from PC: if I choose to print in color, the result is a blank paper, while if I choose to print in B/W, it prints correctly in gray-scale.
I'm not a tech, but I don't think it's a problem of clutches or solenoids, because the Developing rotary motor and the Toner cartridge motor seem to work normally; do you think they could be desynchronized?
Any other idea?
Many thanks.
Bye

Re: Canon MF 8180C doesn't print color
To avoid wrong user settings print service test print.
To Print out Engine Test Prints
- When the machine is in a standby state, press [COLOR START KEY] onthe control panel to generate a color print.
- Open the machine's manual feed tray, and press the test print switch found on the front left to generate a single test pattern.

Find out if the color is on the drum.
I do not think there will be colors. If you are a tech (I believe not) you can check clutches and solenoids.

Canon MF 8180C doesn't print color
Hi to everyone!
This machine works perfectly in B/W mode, while in color mode prints only blank paper.
Malfunction happens both printing from PC and copying.
Note: Toner cartridges and drum are new.
Some ideas?
It's my first inquire here.
I'm italian... sorry for my bad english.
Many thanks
Kind Regards
