    ImageCLASS MF6530 CQ issue

The copies come out with uniform background unless you manually lighten it up. If you do a internal "user settings" report it looks fine.
    Scanner/platen glass are clean.
Is there an adjustment in service mode for the exposure ?
    Any other suggestions ?
    Thanks,
    David

whats the page counts on machine?
    on drums/fuser/belt?
have you cleaned inside and laser lens?
    OEM or compat toner/drums?

    yes there are adjustments...

but 1st you need to find out WHY!

if you make adjusts ..then put in new parts.. you may have to go back and re-adjust

      The page count is 1568.
      Tried 2 separate cartridges.
Everything is clean.(Have not actually taken laser apart and cleaned)
It only does it on copying not printing which should eliminate the cartridge or laser.
All optics/glass are clean in scanner.
      Thanks,
      Dave

Check the default settings (Usually under the front cover), and make sure those are set properly. Clean your optics, including the white level sheet. If you have the service manual, you could also try making the adjustments for "Replacing the CIS". The contact image sensor may be out of calibration, and running Scan Test>Shading may bring it back to specs.

I don't think your image processor PCB is bad, because prints aren't affected. You might have a bad DC Controller though. Reseat all your connectors...especially the ones from the scan components.
