    Faded Edge ImagePress C1

    Hello!

Who is an expert on Canon ImagePress C1? Can you help me? Check the attached image. I've done a lot of tests and some parts changes with another C1 I have. But I did not get the solution. The beginning of the edges is poor. It is more evident in black, as you can see. But in the magenta also appears. I have already changed whole blocks with another C1 (cylinder and ruler of the Patch sensors). I changed ITB. Dei Ram Clear. I changed the potential sensor and its plate. I replaced the laser box. I replaced the Rear and Rotary Motor boards. I changed HVT 1 and HVT 5. I gave drum reset, DPC and Offset. There are no error codes. I made calibrations. It has not changed at all. I am almost at the end of my knowledge. Has anyone ever come across something similar?
The sample is a PG 10 printed in A4. I just zoomed in to make it more visible.

    Greetings,
    Robert.

I am basing this solely on experience with the 6800 series which has similar design. There was one machine that I remember having to change the turret drive assembly in the back. It wasn't very obvious until the old unit was taken apart and the slop in the gears was seen (it had over a million clicks). These machines are/were a beast to work on. I haven't seen either in years.

It looks like a drum in bad shape to me. Did you change the drum too?

This doesn't look like a turrent drive issue -I just replaced those gears on a c1 last week - normally that is seen by banding in screened areas and a growling noise as the developer assemblies rotate.
I would also question the drum but more so, the coronas - I have gotten a halo effect on black block type when reversed out of red solids and it has always been replace the corona wires that clears it up. I'm not sure why it is most visible with black touching red.
What is the age of the developers? If the developer is over aged and deplete so it just can't carry enough toner I have found that on the tail edge of a heavy solid it can fade back.

          Hello!
Developers are good and the drum is good too.
An example: If I print a sheet of text using only black, the ends of the text fade slightly. This throughout the length of the sheet. But only the edges in the direction of the sheet drive. It's like a drag.
