Canon IRA C2225 Will Not Receive Faxes

Hi Guys
I have a Church that has a Canon C2225 copier/printer/fax that will not receive incoming faxes ...
It will send fine just not receive...It has a dedicated line from Comcast and the technician from
Comcast says the line is clear.
Again it transmits fine ,just not receives.
Any ideas?

Things to try. Try turning off ECM in receive. Ask if they have VOIP. They will not know and need to ask Comcast. If it starts to receive and then goes away most likely. Then try turning to lowest speed. Can be hard to troubleshoot. My experience it is in phone line, not on fax board. I think there is a fax clear in fax in service mode.

hat do you hear when you voicedail the faxno connected to the Copier ?


Had similar problem on a 2020, when i dailed the number it never answered. Was as simple as changeing a country setting somewhere in ServiceMode...

often if it will send and not receive the copier has been moved to be cleaned behind it...and the phone line is plugged into the wrong hole.

other than that it may be an incoming voltage issue...not enough to register as an incoming call

if it was me I would take a fax simulator and a little brother fax to fax back and forth to the 2525 through the simulator

Plug a phone into the wall line & see if you can make & receive calls also note the line clarity ANY crackle etc the machine not have issue transmitting/receiving faxes.

Also is the issue with just one sender have you tried dialling the fax from your cell/mobile phone?

I had one last year C2030. Wouldn't receive fax but could send out no issue.

Was sure it was line issue with ISP somehow as it typically is, or least they will fix it.

In the end, I had to go into service mode > fax > clear and there is a clear all there somewhere.

Reboot, and it worked right away.

I even swapped the fax board but unless you clear it in service mode, I don't think the machine does anything to help you out.

Check to see if the line is not digital, lots of faxes then need a analog line not a digital. so check for that.
might be a bit long time im answering this, but its a lot of issue out there with fax lines being digital
