Hi there all, nice to meet you folks. I'm new around here (have been lurking the forums for a while) and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I don't work in the industry (more of an enthusiast) and I came into a Canon C1+ that had a bustled T1 Fiery server and I'm planning on using it for some side projects which will require custom halftones/lpi/screen angles and I surprisingly found how it's apparently not possible to do this with the T1 and in my research I've found that I may possibly need a Q2 server (along with the Graphic Arts Premium package installed). Is this correct?
Can someone please point me in the right direction and maybe even help me source the parts I need or at least confirm what I'll need either way? I'm seeing just one Q2 server for sale on eBay at the moment, but it has no hard drive. Can I just pop a new one in there and install the software onto it? If so, where can I get the software? I'm not even seeing any for sale anywhere unfortunately so if anyone could help me on here I'd be willing to pay them for their time. I could then just buy the Fiery Graphic Arts Premium software (seeing that on eBay for reasonable prices) and be set at that point?
I'd also like to add that I am technically competent with a background in IT (I already had to manually load the T1 server from the disc/flash drive).
