Canon IPF605 - Ink insufficient, replace ink tank and press ok error

Hi, i use ink refills with the standard canon carts that come with the printer. 99% of the time it worsk fine but now I have the following message

Ink insufficient, replace ink tank and press ok

I have refilled the ink tank but the red led on the ink tank is still bleeping when i place the cart back in.

I cant access any menus either, its locked on that message.

Is there a way to disable ink detection now? For other carts I have gone through the process of disabling ink detection but it seems on the Black matte its not showing that option.

Most likely by using ink refills you have damaged the print head.

thanks for answering my question so promptly.

that doesnt sound good. Its a new printhead that is maybe 2 months old so that is worrying.

It happened on my other Black Matte cart about 1 month ago and I bought a new 3rd party cart, plugged it in and the message went away.

Now its happened with the other black matte cart. I have ordered the same cart again, but just wanted to see if there was anything that could be done to fix
