[Error Code] Canon iRADV4025 Hard Drive Error

Hello friends:

I have a problem with a Canon ir ADV 4025, the original HDD is dead. I installed a new 80 GB HDD but at the time that I was formating the HDD using the SST, the machine shows an error 2F2A9DD3-9FDD-4512-8FB6-E85B9B7CFD9B.jpg and the SST shows this message EA9370B3-E371-40DA-98A8-8C1179908E11.jpg

Could you please help me!!

what format are your pics in because I can't get them to open to see the error

did you buy a HDD from Canon? I know some models can't use a NON-Canon HDD

do you have the firmware needed?

so many questions so little info given.

Thank you. I dos not buy the HDD from Canon and do have de firmware. Is it poseso le that this model needs the Canon HDD. It is a iRADV 4025. I do have some experiance with some Canon machine.

Buy an IDENTICAL HDD as your failed one as you can't simply fit any model or size.

No worries.

I believe its only Canon that won't let you fit any HDD. Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Kyocera allow any drive to be fitted.

that's what i've found but some say you can clone any HHD but if the orig HHD is dead i find that questionable.

Yeah cloning a dead HDD wouldn't work if the drive is unreadable!

I guess you could clone a working drive & save this file for future use.

yeah I was using "Ghost" on PC hdd's back in late 70's .. saved a lot of headaches .. found i could switch like drive controller boards to a dead drive to get it to spin up then " ghost " it to a new drive

Just use the USB firmware and start up in 2 8 mode, format and it will load system software assuming the hdd is proper
