c5255 how to configure a J1 booket finisher

I acquired a c5255, could someone please guide me in the right direction on how to configure a J1 booket finisher.

No configuration required. Error code is because probably the firmware from the finisher is not compatible with the printer.

Thanks for your response. The firmware was updated before the finisher was installed. I attempted to update firmware with no luck. Is there a work around this?

Did you put the printer in download mode and with usb overwrite all?

I have been unsuccessful finding material on putting the printer in download mode. could please share how to put in download mode.
