Hi all. I recently posted a few Q's in the "Other Manufacturers" forum where I'd bought a cheap used OKI MC853 that I was going to try to repair. Unfortunately, it was too far gone for my limited abilities (I'm not a Printer Tech at all) so I'm going to buy new.
However, once I get my new MC853 I will have a Canon MF724Cdw that I no longer need (only done just over 3k prints) so I'm going to either see if it will be worth anything on eBay or if not, see if any of my local charity shops could either use it themselves or sell it on forra few quid.
The problem I have is that all the print/copy jobs I have done on it are recorded and stored in its memory and have some personal information attached to them so I would like to be able to delete them but it doesn't seem to be very straight-forward, if indeed even possible ? I've tried the "Initialise All" and turning off the "Show Job Logs" options in the Menu tree but this hasn't got rid of them because as soon as I turn the options on again, the jobs re-appear.
I'm not trying to reset any counters or anything like that, I just want to remove any personal data from the unit.
Does anyone here know if there is a procedure available to reset this machine ?
TIA
