Canon IR C range - where do i find reg buckle/loop adjustment in serv mode?

    Hi guys,

getting used to the Canon,s we have a irc 5860
i need to decrease the buckle/loop to help with the type of paper the customer uses and wont change it. to reduce intermittent reg jams

anyone know where i find it in service mode or what Canon abbreviation term is for it?

    would be a great help

You don't need service mode for this. I assume you want to fix the paper type for a specific cassette because they have paper jams due to heavy paper?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Hi, they are using 90g navigator silky white. the texture is way smoother (the Sheffield) than normal 90g plain. we have changed paper settings and a higher weight. it worked on the higher weight ok. but then he complains it runs to slow ๐Ÿ™„ then says 'we shouldn't have to up the paper weight. it should just work ? i suggested can you try 90g plain. they say they have but i know that is not the truth as he has 20 boxes of this navigator. no other paper in sight.
in the past on Ricoh or Xerox I've slowed down reg (increase buckle) to get round it with awkward customers.

Navigator is good quality media. Are you sure you don't have an issue with the device feed not paper. What jam code are you getting ?

Here's the service manual, in service mode there are various paper feed adjustments you can try which may help.
