[Misc] Canons lack of stock??

hi,

just a general question on Canon stock availability on machines. Sales in our place are extending contracts on older machines because they say they cant get new machines from Canon?

I know there is a world shortage of chips, and some new stock which does arrive, will need boards installing.

I am in Ireland, is this a world wide thing?

... much of the UK and Europe is dealing with historic supply chain disruptions caused by the war in Ukraine, the rush to find alternate energy shortages, port strikes, trucker shortages and lack of available shipping containers.

OEMs are allocating their available chip supply to higher value A3 copiers.

Long before the war in Ukraine, we received new ira c5840 without pcb, which we later got and installed ourselves.Also toners without chip.
Climate change and school shootings in the USA are probably also the Russians' fault.
