Hi all,
I'm considering buying a Canon iPF825, but when I went to check it out today, it's throwing the hardware error shown in the title at boot up.
I did a little googling, and that seems to (maybe) be simply a dried up printhead, which wouldn't surprise me at all, since I'm told the machine has been sitting unplugged for almost a year.
However, I see multiple references to that same error being other, more serious, things as well, such as possibly as bad main controller PCB.
My question to you fine folks is this: If I buy this machine, how likely is it that I'm about to get stuck with a pile of junk that I'm either going to dump a ton of money into, or will end up hauling to the trash?
I don't mind replacing consumables, such as the printhead, ink tanks, maintenance cartridge, etc...
I expect to do that to refurb a machine of this vintage, but I'd rather not get into a money pit situation.
Your expert advice appreciated!
