Greetings,
I've got a bit of an issue with a troublesome iPF785 and could use some help.
It started with an issue of blank lines when printing cyan.
A nozzle check reveals two straight blank breaks in the grid, with maybe a slight fade in other areas.
However, after a Head cleaning the nozzle check is fine but after using cyan for a while it will run out of cyan
- I've replaced the printhead with a brand new one.
- Exchanged the inks to genuine canon as they were LPL.
- Cleaned the purge caps.
- Cleaned the Timing Strip (but maybe not well enough, will clean again next time)
It appeared to me as though the printhead was not receiving enough ink. I've given a go with a syringe to push ink through and it doesn't appear to be blocked or leaking.
The only thing I can really think of is that ink is just not being pushed through.
Is this a good point at which to replace the Ink Supply Unit (L) (QM4-2875-000)? Or is there some other part I should check first?
I'm unfamiliar with ink printers as I normally service laser printers, so any advice is welcome.
I've attached pictures of the nozzle check before and after head cleaning. Aswell as a large poster print which demonstrates the printhead running out of cyan.
Many thanks,
Vood
