Canon IPF 6400SE - air in me tubes!! Removal of ink Tank Cover

    Hello,
Recently replaced maintenance cartridge and new inks on my canon IPF 6400 SE. Automatically went into ink agitation and cleaning mode for several cycles and then did the proverbial nozzle check test page and only the blacks where showing. Noticed the ink lines are full of large pockets of air ( Cartridges are all ok and fitting snugly) Machine showing various error codes related to printhead ( apparently common mistake by machine for air bubbles) Tinternetted several solutions and the most common response was to run both the printhead cleaning cycles several times which I have done to no avail. Has used 40% of the maintenance cartridge already.
Have been quoted unsustainable amounts to fix this in the UK and need to manually pull the ink through the tubes as shown in

Miscellaneous All imagePROGRAF Models__How to create an Ink Flow Management Tool

Only problem is I cannot dismantle the ink cover unit to set the valve to open, thus allowing me to pull the ink through the tubes. Have to wait a few weeks afore I can get service manual request.

So basically I need to know how to remove the Ink tank cover on the 6400SE to be able to get at the valve, releasing the inks , so i can pull the air outta them tubes.

Any Help would be more than appreciated.
