Hello, I have a weird issue a fellow tech has brought me. On gradation pages, the copier will print normal density of color except cyan and magenta will have darker splotches of the same color in them. I couldn't get him to show me a pg10 test and not enough data to confirm but no sign of repeating pattern for the splotches.
After printing the first page, auto-gradation fails but he did say he was able to run a color mismatch.
I had him
double check if yellow/black were affected (he said nope)
Swapped the paper with ours
drums were replaced
developer units were swapped/replaced.
ITB was swapped
2nd transfer roller was replaced
laser assembly cleaned -and I can't think the splotches are caused by it.
I'm hearing/seeing all this 2nd hand so be cynical. My next thought was to just backup settings and nuke the copier and see if that changes it.
Any thoughts?
