There both the same. The only difference is speed. Maintanance will be the same.

depends on condition of machine you get.Most of the Re-con machines counter will be reset to lower.I have 8500's and 7200's both run well.

iR8500 is better than iR7200 especially when it comes to ADF.

Like Screwtape said, they are the same. They use the same parts and service manuals. We have a 7200 with 8 million on it and it still does 200K between calls.

Prefer iR8500 due to the reliability. iR8500 engine is from GP605 where GP605 still working in good condition after so many years marketed in my country over here

according to my area we have 7200 in more number than 8500. 8500 have tremendous jamming problem. while ir7200 is good to work in indian condition. still it depends on you.

Same machines kinda...but dfferent document handlers...8500df J1 is like on a 600....excellent,no stream read glass on machine..... while the 7200df is like an ir5000 df...stream read glass on machine...good
