Guest repliedE210 Lens home position error
Remove the shroud on the lens and power up the machine. Watch the lens go home. I'll bet something is obstructing the path of the lens at power on.Watch the flag and sensor. One is probably out of place. If not it is probably the sensor. The error should go away when the problem is solved.Good luck.Leave a comment:

Well, I will say, that despite my name- I am on the newer side of Canon products, with more strength on the 'Digital' side versus the 'Analog' side. However, the last post is correct. Make sure the Lamp comes on during the boot process and that the Reader does its dance from left to right. If not, pop the glass and make sure that the Reader does move freely. Could be X postion motor- see alot of 'seasoned' techs replace these on the older units. BUT, if you already were tinkering under the glass, make sure the Scan Glass is seated properly. That error will appear if you do not seat the Glass right, or if you leave it off during the boot process. That would be a 'tech induced' error. Good luck.Leave a comment:
