Firmware for ir5000d is 82.03v that is how it should look on control panel counter display

if you are printing from the rip w/accessories that speed is ok

copy speed on ir6000 is >>up to 60 cpm LTR & up to 60cpm A4 read your printing manual !!!!!!!

up to speed is only from a stand alone printer

is it the same speed from all the trays?. How long have you been having this machine? Have you bought from a canon dealer or second hand market?

well now you know the difference. Changing the firmware wont make it run faster.

An iR6000 front cover fits nicely on an iR5000,,, just a thought,, it could have been re-badged by someone to improve it's resale value.

u are not going to get 60 cpm printing thru a network connection / especially when u print from a deck to a finisher / when Canon list those cpm's it is for (like i posted) (a stand alone machine) that is how they are tested --

you can also call Canon with serial # to confirm your model #

funny thing/ if u check the parts list for the ir5000/6000> there is no difference on any parts> except for the labels / what is up with that ??

Training was AGES ago,,, but as I recall, only real difference is Main controller, and possibly DC-controller. But I am not willing to testify to that

Have to take out main board, compare wire/jumper.
