      Not today....I've been on conference calls all day. I think we've tracked it down to the flag issues you posted OR the lift motors. When we turn the machine on, the finisher trays do not move, so we figure it's one of those 2 issues.

      EDIT - The flags seem to be fine though. Pretty loose and free flowing if that makes any sense.

        When you go into service mode, note, these are the first tabs you should see Copier>feeder>sorter>
        Do you see sorter??

          Yep. It looks like this when I select it:

          Sorter <1/1> <ready>
          Pnch-HLE0 <-(0) {-4 ~2}

            Here's something else to look at. Under the first tray there's sort of a black cover, If you press it, you should here a clicking sound. There is a mirco switch that could come out of place,check out the photo, the micro switch is circled. This will also cause a E540-xxxx and power issues for the sorter. You can also have a blown fuse on the finisher controller pcb.

              You also have these at the bottom.
              Not sure if you checked those at the bottom.

                Yep, I definitely hear a clicking sound. I'll check the switch when our tech comes in either tomorrow or next week

                EDIT - yep, checked those too. They move just fine.

                  Then my guess would be to check that finisher controller pcb. Check all fuses for continuity.

                    how do u have your A & B Tray set up> on prints/copies ?? a good test is to set up tray B FOR COPIES ONLY/ SET UP TRAY for Prints only
                    power off printer / run a glass copy see if tray B moves up to accept copy !! if it goes down ,sensor arm may look good but it is blocking interior sensor. if there is no movement / check that molex connector

                    + Check that grey square molex connector it supplies power for finisher it goes in to lower cassette pedestal, i think it has two screws to open, check the two small connectors inside/ both must be seated firmly
