The manual isn't much help on this one. I am not at all familiar with this model. Says check document and never comes to ready. No matter if I lay one one the glass or in the feeder. The pickup roller in the feeder is in the down position..........any ideas. Loose connection maybe? Not for sure which sensor reads this. Could be in the feeder or under the glass??????????????? Thanks in advance.....

Ok, more info......when the scanner drives during initialization, it just makes a noise (scanne motor), it will begin to move if I help it via a drive cable. Funny thing is, no code comes up when I don't help it. It whines for a minute without moving and comes to ready, but says "check document" OR it will say remove original from platen glass while trying to use the feeder. I'm at a loss, anyone have any experience with these....... -

did u check your READER Interface cable ??
U can Try an 'ALL CLEAR' on the imageRUNNER / To perform an 'ALL CLEAR' enter service mode by selecting additional functions 2 then 8 then additional functions. Scroll to CLEAR and press ok; then scroll to ALL and press ok. The imageRUNNER will reboot after the ALL CLEAR is performed.
u should print out a USER data P-Print & back up address book/before trying this above/
then re-input USER DATA
Warning >>>>
All user inputted values will be set back to machine default, after performing the all clear.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment
