    Give that man a cigar----thats exactly right. It distributes the wear of the thermistor across a wider surface area to extend fuser roller life.

      HIi,

      UPDATE,

      Spoke to Engineer on this fault and after months of replacing UFR/pwba/solenoids etc It turned out to be faulty connector block on end of unit 1. Replaced whole block and wiring loom to cure!!

        No they don't cam away on 7105 or any of its relatives. On 6800 color family it does when extra heating roller is cammed to upper fuser roll for warm up. Thats why you dont open the door and turn the fuser knob while it is warming up. You will get a web wrapped around UFR. Long weird web cloth path on those pigs. Web wraps are messy
