    [Misc] black lines in canon ir-2016

    hi friends,

    i have a canon ir-2016 i am replacing the new drum in my machine, 1st 100 copies comes good , after all black lines vertically comes what i need do? any one knows kindly help me? please

    First, reinsert the drum you just put in and run some prints. But, it sounds like the cleaning blade for the drum flipped. I would put another drum in, and if it has no lines, you can turn in the bad drum for warranty. If you can not turn in the bad drum for warranty, you can try to take it apart to clean and recoat the drum blade. My other question is why did you replace the drum in the first place? Also, make sure you don't have toner in the paper path area.

      are the lines on Prints & Copies ?

        its a copier only
        i replaced the drum and cleaning blade twice

          i changed the drum and cleaning blade two times but both time copy have same type of vertical lines come.

            Check your developer.

            Check for waste toner mixed into the developer.

            Replaced developer if its contaminated.

              Teckat is right. Before you do anything else, put an origional on the glass,close the lid and make a copy. Does it have lines? If it dosnt, you have a dirty doc feeder read glass. Do this and let us know how it copied
