The only HDD that was on an IR-210 was with the fiery print board. I want to say that the menu on that board did not offer a format option.

It was ages ago,,, but I believe the format was accomplished in the printer setup area as the server started up after booting up, then software was pushed at the beasty thru a DOS command, or using the PDL Downloader tool...

Thanks guys-thought it might be in printer setup after boot-but was not sure if option would be there as Charm points out.

              Hi, MrFixit!

              It was a copy command.

              Example: copy c:\filename.efi lpt1 /b

The "/b" switch sets binary mode.

There was a second file if the RIP had PostScript.

yes mr. KenB. you are right. i never use pdl downloader. i use this command line only to download. but must be careful while using this command line. otherwise the file will copy to current lpt printer queue. better to remove the lpt printer and download the file. or you can clone it from good one. if it need authorization code just pm me i send the file to make as ps printer. i have 2.1v and 2.0v but 2.1v have give bad file type. if you need i will send v2.0. but you must have pc with ECP mode enabled parallel port need. don't try with usb to parallel cable it is waste of time. it will not work. just clone and in setup goto clear server. clear it. thats all
