An intermittent E540 code appears during the power up sequence.
The E540 is defined as an issue with the Finisher Tray
The tray on the Finisher U2 does not move.
Check The sensors / and for 13vdc and 24vdc measured on the finisher controller PCB.

Check the Finisher Controller PCB -# 4G3-0806-000.

how many trays do u have ?
if u have the Additional Finisher Tray-C1 , u may be able to change delivery options

U Finisher has one tray, unless C-1 is added on

Re: system error 540 on canon ir2020

          Dear Teckat,

          Me and "MOntana" mean:

How to enable a new finisher on the IR 2020 and how to Disable it on IPSWITCH MODE"
This should come on the set up direction for the finisher and also in the service manual for finisher or for the copier itself.

Please let us know if you know about this procedure.

          Thank you!!

            Finisher U1

there is no Enable or Disable for Finisher U1/ in Manual or Install instructions

            it uses a
Option Power Supply Kit - Q1 this kit uses two harnesses / one attached to it's pcb board >that goes to printer power supply pcb connector J16 & other loose harness from Q1 kit pcb connector J53 to connector J18 on printer power supply

            remember that the

Cassette Feeding Unit-Q1 uses the same Kit/
